The Characters of Piccadilly Circus

One of my favourite iconic landmarks of London when I was younger was Piccadilly Circus, situated in the heart of London’s West End. I wanted to recreate one of my old Art College pieces and experience how far my journey as an artist has developed.

Piccadilly is an incredible place that truly captures the vibrant spirt of London. With the use of colours from the retro illuminated signs, I wanted to create a picture that would capture its lively and energetic environment and display a constant flow of different colourful characters that impart to this central hub of the city.

Each one of my hand-crafted characters hold their own amusing story and all mean something personal to me, which has kept me motivated throughout the many hours I have spent producing one of my favourite pieces of dimensional work.

The Pink Monument

The Pink Monument’s tranquil setting and use of colour gives Buckingham Palace a vibrant, positive energy. The Pink Monument leaps out in front of you, drawing you into the energy, the movement, the band and the noise of the Red Arrows flying above. This piece marks the 100th anniversary of Royal Air Force.

The Colourful Rush

The Colourful Rush was created to turn the dark, busy, stress of the London Underground during rush hour, on its head. It shows a vibrant platform filled with colourful characters, each on their own unique journeys through the city. The tube train itself is created using original tube and train tickets.

Even London rush hour can be filled with magic, laughter and fun.

London Eye

The London Eye is designed to capture one of the cities best known attractions on a beautiful sunny day -vibrant colour, fun and excitement as the tourist-packed river boats pass on by. The piece holds up a mirror to the colourful flags and people, from all nationalities, who visit and enjoy this amazing structure every day.
